beta-Trace Protein (in secretion)

Keywords

beta-2-Transferrin, Cerebrospinal fluid leakage, CSF otorrhea, CSF rhinorrhea

Material
Nasal secretion + serum
Serum gel tube, golden (1) + Salivette (74)
Note

A parallel approach of serum, secretions or puncture is carried out. Please put puncture in a sterile tube, red (29). Secretions (usually nasal discharge) can be collected also in a sterile tube, red (29). For alternative nasal discharge can be collected with a tamponade of a salivette. The tamponade is given it into the nostril until it is sufficiently soaked with nasal discharge. Then set the tamponade with tweezers back into the salivette. Repeat the process with two other salivettes so that sufficient test material is available (at least 500 µl). Please note that in addition, a blood sample in a serum-gel tube, golden (1) is to be drawn and sent always. | For this analysis, blood withdrawal must occur on the same day as the spinal tap.
