Rheumatology. Our value proposition

Certainty on questions that require clarity

Whether for inflammatory joint diseases, autoimmune diseases or vague systemic complaints, precise diagnostics provide the basis for a differentiated rheumatological classification. Viollier offers an integrated diagnostic service consisting of analytics, specialised histopathological assessment and clearly structured reports.
Standardised processes from pre-analytics to post-analytics provide diagnostic certainty that is traceable, clinically relevant and reliable for decision-making.

Pre-analytics – where precision begins

Pre-analytics form the basis of reliable diagnostics. They cover all steps from the diagnostic indication to the collection, storage and transport of samples. Errors in this phase cannot be corrected later. That’s why diagnostic quality starts with pre-analytics.

Collection and delivery service

Prescribing – simple, fast, integrated

Internal and external analyses are prescribed in a system. Prescribing is safe and efficient with no disruption to media.

v-consult® can be accessed directly via practice software or clinic information systems, without additional registration.

Prescribing remains part of the existing clinical workflow.

Prescribing an analysis – structured, clear and flexible

With v-consult®, analysis selection is structured and flexible thanks to personal favourites, defined analysis profiles and a search function.

In cases involving infectious indications, prescription is approached in a structured manner. The display of available analyses is determined by the sample material, localisation and sample location, ensuring a technically correct selection.

Pathology prescription – structured and clear

A precise prescription is essential for pathological examinations.

v-consult® manages the prescription in a structured manner and ensures that sample locations are standardised and recorded clearly with the help of predefined topographies.

This lays the foundation for complete, clinically meaningful pathology reports.

Sampling – digitally managed and secure

v-consult® ensures clear and reliable sampling.

All relevant information, from patient identification to the selection of shipping material, can be seen both on the screen and on the labels. Detailed pre-analytical information provides step-by-step support.

A unique barcode containing patient details – such as surname, first name, date of birth and gender – is generated for each sample to prevent mix-ups.

Standardised processes – precise down to the last detail

v-consult® automatically calculates which tubes are required. The number, size and order of samples are clearly defined. The sample type, conditions and sequence can be seen at a glance.

This makes sampling standardised, safe and reproducible.

v-collect – manage sample collections online

With v-collect, sample collections can be planned, changed or cancelled online.

All planned collections are visible at a glance. Adjustments can be made up to 10 minutes before the scheduled collection.

This makes processes more transparent, reduces coordination effort and allows sample logistics to be flexibly managed.

Collection and delivery service – fast, secure, sustainable

The collection and delivery service is mainly carried out by our in-house customer service department and is both personal and environmentally friendly.

Sample collection and delivery take place in a single visit.

Thanks to a well-designed logistics concept by bicycle, train and car, samples reach the laboratory within a short period of time. Transport is fast, efficient and reliable.

An integrated service that combines safety and sustainability.

Medical supplies and delivery – made simple via the v-shop®

More than 1,300 everyday practice supplies are available in the v-shop® at attractive purchasing prices – for economic benefits in the daily operation of the practice

Orders placed by 5 p.m. will be delivered the next working day.

A service that simplifies your processes and reduces practice costs.

Analytics – precision through communication

Precision in analytics isn’t achieved through experience alone, but rather through the interaction of different diagnostic disciplines and procedures. Integrated processes ensure that results are complete, consistent and clinically useful.

Point-of-Care

At Viollier

In-practice laboratory – diagnosis directly at the treatment site

A well-equipped in-practice laboratory with point-of-care testing means laboratory results can be received immediately during the consultation.

Viollier assists with the planning and equipping of in-practice laboratories, provides appropriate equipment and supports MPAs with training and quality assurance. Reagents, controls and consumables are available at attractive rates in the v-shop®. This enables diagnoses to be made more quickly and therapies to be initiated in a targeted manner.

v-box® – networked and integrated

The v-box® is designed for secure networking and data transmission in medical practices. It allows laboratory results from the in-practice laboratory and Viollier to be combined in a single report.

Results from the in-practice laboratory are automatically transmitted to the practice software system. This eliminates the need for manual results transfer, reduces workload and prevents potential transfer errors.

Integration is free of charge.

Selected analyses for rheumatological indications

Targeted analyses are available for diagnostic indications that support a differentiated classification.

Pathology – specialised diagnostic expertise

In addition to clinical laboratory diagnostics, Viollier offers comprehensive pathological diagnostics.

An interdisciplinary team of more than 40 pathologists, cytopathologists and molecular pathologists covers a wide range of diagnostic tissue examinations.

Diagnostic precision – clear turnaround times

Clearly defined turnaround times apply for pathological tissue and cell examinations:

  • Biopsies and extragenital cytology:
report no later than the following working day
  • Resectates:
report no later than two working days

Short turnaround times support rapid treatment decisions while maintaining high diagnostic quality.

Molecular pathology – precision at a cellular and molecular level

Molecular pathology supplements morphological assessment and provides the basis for personalised therapeutic approaches.

Molecular pathology analyses provide information on mutations, gene expression and therapeutic targets.

This further clarifies the diagnostic report.

Post-analytics – a prerequisite for clinical decisions

Post-analytics have a significant impact on the informative value of a report. A medical decision is only possible when results are presented consistently and classified correctly.

My Viollier App

One report. All results

Results from the practice laboratory are supplemented by age, gender and device-specific reference values via the v-box® and combined with Viollier’s results into a structured, clinically consistent overall report.

Results from pathology and molecular pathology are integrated into a single report.

This creates a consistent, clinically meaningful overall view.

Digital overview – faster classification

With v-consult® and the Viollier app, you have access to clearly structured reports, including graphical representations.

All information can be accessed at any time, regardless of location.

Post-prescription – additional results available more quickly

Analyses can be ordered at any time and from any location via v-consult® or the Viollier app.

You can see in real time whether stable sample material is available and what additional analyses can be taken from it. Post-prescriptions are processed straight away, whatever the time.

Results for more than 1,000 analyses are available within 90 minutes. This also applies during the night.

My Viollier app – reducing the strain on routine clinical work

Following one-time approval, patients are given access to their personal lab history. Existing laboratory results are immediately available in an emergency or upon admission to hospital.

Digital access reduces the administrative workload in the practice. The need for copies of reports is eliminated, unnecessary duplication is avoided and the practice team will see a noticeable reduction in their workload.
