Dementia markers in CSF with Erlangen Score (ERS)

Reimbursement by health insurance is limited to the following conditions: 1.)To exclude Alzheimer's disease in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and for differential diagnosis in patients being examined for Alzheimer's disease or other cognitive ailments, and for whom Alzheimer's disease cannot be substantiated or excluded with clinical diagnostic criteria and structural imaging. 2.)Ordinance on analyzes only by specialists with a recognized postgraduate degree in psychiatry and psychotherapy, neurology or general internal medicine with main field in geriatrics according to the Swiss federal law dated 23 June 2006 about university medical professions (Medizinalberufegesetz, MedBG, SR 811.11) with a Mini Mental Status Test (MMST) of at least 10 points. 3.) It may not be preceded by any PET, SPECT or FDG-PET scan.
